Come hang out with a true master of the craft beer industry, Neil Witte, as we celebrate Brewery Ommegang winning the 2016 Brewers Association World Beer Cup for Mid-size breweries!
Included in this special meet & greet will be samplings and food pairings.
We’ll start with the Witte, a classic Belgian-style wheat beer that is light, soft & hazy, brewed with sweet orange peel and coriander.
Following the Witte, we’ll be tasting 3 of their 2016 Gold Award winners:
★ Rosetta ★
A Belgian-style Fruit beer, paired hand-in-hand with locally made chocolate.
★ Gnomegang ★
A Belgian-style Tripel, paired with specialty cheeses.
★ Three Philosophers ★
A Belgian-style Quadrupel
Neil Witte is the Training and Technical Support Manager at Duvel USA. An 18-year Boulevard Brewing Co. veteran and former brewer, he works with distributors and retailers on quality issues through seminars, hands-on training and draught system installation, helping to insure the quality of Boulevard, Ommegang and Duvel beers throughout the country. He is a Master Cicerone (one of only nine in the world), GABF beer judge and a co-author of both Draught Beer Quality Manual and Draught Beer Quality for Retailers.
We’re going to discuss Brewery Ommegang’s unique brewing process, as they are one of the very few breweries left in the US who still use open fermentation.
This will also be an open-forum Q&A, so here’s your chance to come pick the brain of a brewing LEGEND!
★★★Think you can stump Neil Witte? The first person to be able to do so will win a FREE BEER!★★★
Samplings are free of course. You don’t want to miss this!
